Elderberry Starter Plant - Wyldewood - 1-Yr Old

This is a variety of Elderberry that was found growing wild in Brush Hills, Oklahoma and was selected for being a standout with highly productive cymes full of glossy black fruit. The harvest season is two and three weeks later than other major cultivars, making it an excellent choice for warmer climates. Wyldewood has high vigor. When the plants are grown in warmer climates or have a longer growing season, the plants can be mowed to the ground after dormancy as a method of pruning. The new primocane stems will yield fruits in the following year. An excellent polliantor for 'Bob Gordon'

Format: Well-rooted 1-yr old starter plant in 4" pot.
