Fruiting size/age honeyberry plant. Incredibly easy to grow. Tolerant of almost all soil types and does not require any annual pruning.
'Tana' is a Japanese variety from Dr. Maxine Thompson's breeding program, which will perform well in both cold & hot climates, from Zones 2 - 9.
Fruit is oval-shaped & medium-large. Flavor is best described as tart/sweet. Bushes are moderately vigorous plants with an upright-spreading shape. Flowers bloom slightly later than our other varieties to bloom and reach harvest- but will cross-pollinate with any of our current varieties. This makes it a great choice for climates with a high chance of late spring frosts.
-Plant Format: Bare root, 2-yr Old Stock. Fruiting-size -Self-fertile: No...plant with another variety for cross-pollination and fruit set. -Best time to plant: fall & winter.
