Bushes & Small Trees

Honeyberry - 'Taka' - 2 YR Old

Fruiting size/age honeyberry plant. Incredibly easy to grow. Tolerant of almost all soil types and does not require any annual pruning.

'Taka' is a Japanese variety from Dr. Maxine Thompson's breeding program, which will perform well in both cold & hot climates, from Zones 2 - 9.

'Taka' produces good yields of cylindrical, medium-large berries that have a slightly milder flavor than other cultivars. Bushes are moderately vigorous plants that have a more spreading shape. A fully-mature 'Taka' bush grows to be about 5 feet tall x 5 feet wide. Mid-season bloomer, will cross-pollinate very well with other varieties, especially 'Tana'.

-Plant Format: Bare root, 2-yr Old Stock. Fruiting-size -Self-fertile: No...plant with another variety for cross-pollination and fruit set. -Best time to plant: fall & winter.
